Some bugs you just have to kill!
It’s a lesson Jake Ambler has learned the hard way, on Teila and then again on Euphrates. He’s grateful to be assigned to Alvum, where the peace-loving Trigonans (hyper-intelligent beehives) are eager to trade their precious honey for relatively cheap technology.
It all goes well until the Myrmidons who share Alvum poke their heads up: The Trigonans kill them on sight, and the increasing provocations may lead to a war that the Trigonans, for all their sophistication, cannot win.
But are the Myrmidons bugs you just have to kill?
And what if you have to start a war to save a planet?
Jake wrestles with these questions and more, even as his past catches up with him, and forces from Earth try to engage him in their own struggles, all while discovering a nemesis he never knew he had.
Jake will have to risk every relationship he’s managed to build to try to save Alvum.
Foul Brood is a roller-coaster ride through the psyches of alien minds, and the tunnels of alien mines, where one man must save a planet from itself—and from forces outside of its control!
